Meet the Pastors & Staff!

Michael is married to Janelle.  They have two children, Audrey and Ethan.  Michael enjoys grilling meat, roasting coffee and watching soccer.  He enjoys supporting LAFC and Manchester United.  He can often be found on a soccer sideline with his Canon R7 snapping pictures. He is an alumni of Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.  

Matt is passionate about discipling the next generation. He and his incredible wife, Catherine, love spending time with the church community—fellowshipping, worshiping, and growing in faith. Currently studying at Gateway Seminary, Matt is deepening his ability to care for and disciple teenagers. He enjoys staying active, playing sports, going on walks, and sharing meals with people.

Audrey Kell is the daughter of Pastor Mike and Janelle Kell. She is studying at Liberty University in Virginia for her Masters of Ministry.  She works remotely as the Administrative Assistant of Liberty Church with a servant's heart. She leads worship and loves to share the gospel through music. 

Phebe is married to Edward Timarong. Along with working in the church office during the week, Phebe volunteers on our worship team. She serves Liberty Church by humbly working behind the scenes to ensure that everyone is cared for and seen.

Barry Smith is the Facilities Director and oversees Celebrate Recovery.  He is a testimony of the Lord's faithfulness. Barry serves the Liberty family by ensuring that everything is clean, neat, and in its right place. Barry works hard to help create an environment where everyone feels safe and clean. 

Janelle is married to Lead Pastor Michael Kell.  Janelle enjoys leading people to worship God.  She is passionate about raising up the next generation of worship leaders.  She works as a high school counselor in Moreno Valley.
